Byzantine Art. Italian Art of the 13th to 16th centuries View on the hall's virtual panorama

This composition in the collection of the Counts Stroganov was thought to be a work of Perugino himself. Other versions are known executed by artists from his workshop. One of them is in the Borghese Gallery in Rome and another in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. The picture in the Pushkin Museum collection is the best of the three.
