Art of the twentieth century View on the hall's virtual panorama

This picture is rightly regarded as one Guttuso's most important works. In the 1950s and 1960s the Italian artist created a gallery of ordinary people with striking personalities and strength of character. The work reflects the master's interpretation of Realism, which is touched with tense expression, and consequently shows careful attention to expressive lines and colour.
