Booking is available for general English-language guided tours through the permanent exposition in the Main Building or the Gallery of 19th and 20th Century European and American Art, as well as through temporary exhibitions.

A guided tour group can include up to 15 people.

Price for one English-language tour ticket:

• permanent exposition – 8,000-13,000 RUB
• temporary exhibitions – 9,000-15,000 RUB

Guided tours must be booked in advance. 

Guided tours must be paid for in the Museum’s ticket office within 5 days from the receipt of an order number. Entrance tickets are purchased on the guided tour date. 

A paid guided tour entitles you to fast-track access at the entrance on Kolymazhny Lane on the tour date.

If a group is late for a tour, the tour time will be shortened proportionally.

If a group does not show or is more than 30 minutes late, the guided tour will be canceled without refund.

If a guided tour is canceled later than 3 days prior to the tour date, no refund will be given.

Description of general guided tours

Main Building exposition overview
This guided tour will allow visitors of the Pushkin State Museum to discover its history, architecture, interior designs, and collection of art valuables. The overview of the Museum’s collection includes the halls of plaster casts. Additionally, visitors will be able to view original artifacts from the ancient world and masterpieces by notable painters. The tour focuses on the most important works of art from around the world that the Museum has in its holdings. 

Overview of the Gallery of 19th and 20th Century European and American Art 
The general guided tour through the Gallery of 19th and 20th Century European and American Art allows visitors to discover the Museum’s best painting collections, previously owned by private collectors S.M. Tretyakov, D.P. Botkin, S.I. Shchukin, and I.A. Morozov, including masterpieces by Goya, Friedrich, Delacroix, Ingres, Millet, Courbet, and Daumier. Special attention should be given to the unique collection of works by French painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including pieces by the impressionist and post-impressionist masters Monet, Renoir, Degas, Pissarro, Sisley, Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Gaugin, as well as the 20th century artists Matisse, Picasso, Derain, and Rousseau. In the Gallery halls you will also see paintings by such renowned artists as Kandinsky, Léger, Miró, Zadkine, Chagall, de Chirico, Guttuso and Arp.
